This summer 2021 I launched my very first fashion collection with SHEIN. Let me show you some of the designs I have worked on in this blog-post.

This summer I launched my SHEIN x meikearts fashion collection. All these pieces of the collection are 100% designed and illustrated by me. SHEIN is responsible for the production and shipping of the products.
I drew every design and illustration by hand using my iPad Pro, the apple pencil and ProCreate App. I've also been responsible for choosing the colours, the pattern and fit of each outfit as well as well as the fabric and materials.
My fashion collection includes different types of pieces: jackets, t-shirts, jumpsuits and dresses. I took pictures of me wearing the outfits to give you an idea of the fit and material quality.
But now, let me show you the individual pieces I designed for this collection and tell you a little bit about the process and thought that went into each outfit, pattern and final output!
THE INDIVIDUAL PIECES OF MY FASHION COLLECTION
THE SUMMER JACKET
This piece is based on different summer and vacation items that I put together in a pattern. It comes in warm reds/oranges and cool blue shades. It works really well with blue jeans or similar red tones. The fit is a bit more oversized and loose and the jacket is not too thick and warm, so you could still wear it from spring to summer.
THE STARFISH SHIRT
This piece is inspired by my love for mermaids! I love everything colourful and underwater-themed. So I created this starfish-bra design for the shirt. The shirt has an oversized crop-top style and works really well with all shades of red, pink and violett as well as neutral colours. This item is one of the bestsellers from the collection!
THE SEA SHELL SHIRT
This piece is inspired by my love for mermaids! I love everything colourful and underwater-themed. So I created this sea shell-bra design for the shirt. The shirt has an oversized crop-top style and works really well with all shades of red, orange, yellow, violett as well as neutral colours.
THE LEMON JUMPSUIT
This item is literally inspired by summer and all the yummy fruits! The lemon pattern gives this outfit a fresh and soft, yet warm look! The jumpsuit makes your back and shoulders look really beautiful and the loose fit on the pants makes your legs look nice and long! The jumpsuit is made of a chic and elegant soft satin material which has a slight shine to it!
THE FARMERS JACKET
This piece is based on my 3 chickens and the backside has 3 little chicken illustrations around the shoulders. The jacket comes in neutral warm beige tones including patches on the elbows as well as on the front side.
THE CACTUS CROP TOP
This piece is based on my love for cactus plants! I worked with bold shapes and bright colours to create this pattern. The shirt is cropped with long sleeves. It's a thin material which can even be worn on warmer days.
THE SHELL DRESS
This piece is based on different types of shells. I created a super small and light pattern with little contrast, as I wanted the focus of this dress to be on it's almost water-like shape and form. The material is super light and comfortable to wear and it also doesn't get too wrinkly!
THE MERMAID SHIRTS
These both shirts include a mermaid print. The shirt of both is oversized and can be tied in a knot on the side or front. One of the mermaid comes in a more sketchy and rough look with a slogan whereas the other one doesn't include any text and comes in a more finished and coloured design!
THE SUN & MOON JACKET
This pink jacket comes with nice volant around the chest and back area as well as some colourful yellow details such as the stars on the front and moon phases on the back.
